Positioned on the site of a former timber mill, Strachans Campground is a small, secluded campground in the south-west corner of the Grampians. Wake to the sounds of native birds feeding on the nectar-rich trees and kangaroos grazing outside.
There are six vehicle-based sites suitable for caravans, campervans, camper trailers, or tents, and two tent only sites with nearby vehicle parking. Individual campsites need to be booked in advance. All sites have their own fireplace and the tent only sites have picnic tables. The campground has a pit toilet, and a limited supply of untreated tank water is available. You should bring drinking water in addition to your own firewood. There is also a day visitor area with a fireplace and picnic table.
Strachans is ideally situated beside the headwaters of the Glenelg River to explore the Victoria Range and Victoria Valley, where there is fantastic four-wheel driving, bushwalking, and rock climbing.

The campground is 16km east of the Henty Highway on Glenelg River Road. The road is unsealed and suitable for 2WD vehicles.
Cancellation Policy
100% refund: if you cancel 30 days or more before the first day of your trip.
50% refund: if you cancel 8 to 29 days before the first day of your trip.
Cancellations made within 8 days of your arrival/start date are non-refundable.
Bookings can be modified (transferred to another date, location, or campground), subject to availability, up to your check-in time for camping (only) and prior to 7 days of arrival for accommodation by clicking the ‘Manage My Booking’ link in your confirmation email at no charge:
-If the balance for the new booking is higher, an additional charge will be required.
-If the balance for the new booking is less, no refund will be made, in accordance with the cancellation policy.
-No refund is available on transfers.
All bookings and payments are non-transferable to another party/person.
