Nestled among the native pines and rocky outcrops under the towering peaks of Mt Rosea, this hike-in campground is allocated for schools and licensed tour operators undertaking overnight walks in the Wonderland and Mt Rosea area.
This site caters for one group of up to sixteen hikers (including leaders). Bookings are required in advance and are restricted to one night only for the same group, with evidence of an approved Education Group Activity Statement.
Facilities include 8 elevated timber tent platforms (2 pax each), an outdoor group gathering area, enclosed dining shelter, serviced water tanks and drop toilets.
Parking is available for 2 mini-buses and trailers within the campsite a short walk to tent pads. Gate keys are available from Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre.
Additional bush camps (catering for 6 –16 people) may be available along Stony Creek road for other hikers and vehicle-based campers, however these are allocated on a first in first served basis.
Facilities include non-flush toilet, communal gathering area, day use shelter, and seasonal untreated rainwater tanks.
Vehicle access and parking is available off Stony Creek Road for high clearance 4WD vehicles. Gate keys are provided by Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre upon confirmation of a booking.

Best accessed by hikers via a 520m side track to Stony Creek Group Camp, 1.36km from the Mt Rosea Carpark. Vehicle access is available 13km southwest of Halls Gap on unsealed Stony Creek Road with parking available for one 4WD vehicle.
Cancellation Policy
100% refund: if you cancel 30 days or more before the first day of your trip.
50% refund: if you cancel 8 to 29 days before the first day of your trip.
Cancellations made within 8 days of your arrival/start date are non-refundable.
Bookings can be modified (transferred to another date, location, or campground), subject to availability, up to your check-in time for camping (only) and prior to 7 days of arrival for accommodation by clicking the ‘Manage My Booking’ link in your confirmation email at no charge:
-If the balance for the new booking is higher, an additional charge will be required.
-If the balance for the new booking is less, no refund will be made, in accordance with the cancellation policy.
-No refund is available on transfers.
All bookings and payments are non-transferable to another party/person.
