Details

Thurra River Campground is located in a coastal woodland between the river and the ocean, near Point Hicks. This is a popular spot for families to relax on hot days.

There are 46 non-powered sites available. Facilities include non-flush toilets, shared picnic tables and shared fireplaces with barbeque plates. Campfires are only allowed in designated fireplaces.

It is recommended that you bring your own drinking water.

There is an all-abilities access toilet located opposite site 39.

Directions

Thurra River Campground is approx. a 7 hour drive east of Melbourne. Follow the Princes Highway to Cann River. Turn south off the highway onto Tamboon Road before turning left onto Point Hicks Road, which is partly unsealed. The campground lies just over the Thurra River.

Cancellation Policy

30 days or more prior notice to the booking arrival date, 50% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. Less than 30 days prior notice to the booking arrival date, 100% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. All bookings and payments are non-transferable to another party/person. Camping date transfers may be made up to 2 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Accommodation date transfers may be made up to 7 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Booking cancellations and date transfers can be completed via the Manage My Booking link in your reservation confirmation email.
