Details

Tucked away next to the Little River on the site of an old timber mill, Cooks Mill Camping Area is shaded by Peppermint, Blackwood and Red Stringybark gum trees.

Though bookings are essential, individual campsites cannot be reserved. Please select your campsite within the campground on arrival. Sites are not marked but are large enough for tents, with a limited area suitable for camper trailers, campervans and caravans.

Campground facilities include non-flush toilets, picnic tables, shelter and communal fireplaces.

Directions

From Melbourne, follow the Maroondah Highway to Buxton. Continue past Buxton for 9.5km and turn right into Cathedral Lane to find the park entrance 2.5km on your right.

Continue past Neds Gully. Cooks Mill Camping Area is located at the start of Lowerson Track off Little River Road just before it crosses the river.

Cancellation Policy

30 days or more prior notice to the booking arrival date, 50% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. Less than 30 days prior notice to the booking arrival date, 100% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. All bookings and payments are non-transferable to another party/person. Camping date transfers may be made up to 2 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Accommodation date transfers may be made up to 7 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Booking cancellations and date transfers can be completed via the Manage My Booking link in your reservation confirmation email.
