Stretching from Dartmoor to Nelson, the Glenelg River Canoe Trail meanders through the lower reaches of the Glenelg River. Embark on this scenic journey and take in the best of Lower Glenelg National Park.
Canoes can be hired from Dartmoor, Winnap or Nelson. Many hire shops will also drop you off and pick you up at various points along the river depending on your needs.
Campfires are permitted in the fireplaces provided, except on days of Total Fire Ban or high fire danger. Fireplaces are shared. Minimum amounts of fallen, dry firewood can be collected in the park.
Toilets are provided and water is seasonally available but must be treated before being used.
Each location can accommodate a maximum of 20 campers. There are no numbered sites, though campers must ensure they remain within the defined camping area.

Directions
Lower Glenelg National Park is in south-west Victoria adjoining the SA border, about 420km from Melbourne and 490km from Adelaide. The major access roads into the park are the Portland-Nelson Road and Wanwin Road.
Cancellation Policy
30 days or more prior notice to the booking arrival date, 50% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. Less than 30 days prior notice to the booking arrival date, 100% of the applicable fees per night will be forfeited. All bookings and payments are non-transferable to another party/person. Camping date transfers may be made up to 2 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Accommodation date transfers may be made up to 7 days prior to arrival depending on availability. Booking cancellations and date transfers can be completed via the Manage My Booking link in your reservation confirmation email.
